G(irls)20 Summit: 3.3 billion ways to change the world.

There are 3.3 billion girls and women in the world - and they should be integral to, and included in, the development of innovative, sustainable and socially responsible solutions to the world's economic and social challenges.

That's why CARE is a supporting partner of the G(irls)20 Summit: 3.3 billion ways to change the world.

This global campaign is a ground-breaking opportunity to bring together one girl from each G20 country ten days before the official G20 Summit to find ways to meet the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) that impact girls and women: improving child and maternal health, providing universal education and eradicating poverty.

Meeting in Toronto from 16-18 June 2010, the 20 representatives will discuss and promote tangible, scalable solutions to help meet the MDGs, and put girls and women front and centre with the G20 leaders.

The deadline to apply to be a representative at the G(irls)20 Summit has passed, but you can still help put girls and women front and centre with the G20 leaders by joining the campaign and participating in the discussion.
